At Bordon Infant and Junior Schools, we aim to inspire all pupils to enjoy being active, develop a love of sport and understand the importance of leading healthy, active lifestyles. Through a broad range of physical activities, games and sports, pupils build confidence, resilience, teamwork and respect for others.

Swimming is an important part of our PE curriculum and all pupils have the opportunity to develop their water confidence, swimming technique and water safety knowledge throughout their time at school.

We believe that physical activity is for everyone and strive to provide opportunities for all children to succeed, challenge themselves and achieve their personal best.

Through our PE curriculum, we aim for pupils to:

    • Develop competence and confidence across a broad range of physical activities.
    • Be physically active for sustained periods of time.
    • Develop swimming skills, water confidence and an understanding of water safety.
    • Engage in competitive sports and activities with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
    • Demonstrate resilience, teamwork and respect for others.
    • Lead healthy, active lifestyles both now and in the future.
